5 New Year's Intentions for 2020
2020 is here and with the new decade we are saying good-bye to resolutions and hello to intentions instead. Have you heard of this new trend that’s been buzzing around the internet and social media lately? Personally, we really love this new idea! Especially because intentions are all about setting our mind-set to be in line with our heart’s desires. Making it so much easier because matters of the heart create a strong sense of passion which creates a great driving force for achievement. Whereas resolutions are goals that we think up and then tell ourselves that we are going to do. Which in turn, makes it so much easier for us to become disinterested in accomplishing them because our heart simply isn’t in the task.
With that being said, here are our 5 New Year’s Intentions for 2020 along with our favorite candles to help enhance the journey!

1) Meditate More
By now, we all know how important meditation is. However, finding time to do this can be extremely daunting. Luckily meditation doesn’t require a lot of time. All you need is 5 minutes! Which means you can pretty much do this any time during the day that works best for you!

2) Make time for Relaxation
Living in a constant on-the-go world makes it hard to relax. However, relaxation plays a key role in our overall physical, mental, and emotional health. Ideally, we should be making time for relaxation on a daily basis. But with how busy life can get, we know that can be unrealistic at times. So we suggest striving to set aside time for personal relaxation at least 2-3 times a week. Some of our favorite ways to relax are by curling up with a good book or show, working on a favorite hobby/project, and pampering ourselves with an at-home spa treatment like a facial mask or long soak in the tub.

3) Yoga, Yoga, Yoga
There’s a reason why yoga has become so popular. Along with enhancing your overall physical well-being, it also helps in controlling your mind and soul. Helping you to better manage stress and anxiety. Something that’s incredibly important when the daily demands of life are constantly pulling you in so many different directions. Now-a-days, yoga classes are popping up everywhere. So find one near you and start reaping the incredible benefits that so many yogis are experiencing.

4) Start a Journal
Ask anyone you know who keeps a journal and they’ll tell you that journaling is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Not only does it help you document and keep track of your day to day life, but it also helps you better process and make sense of things that have happened to you. Overall, translating your thoughts onto paper can leave you feeling incredibly unburdened and more at ease with everything you’re experiencing.

5) Organize and Declutter
Fact: we carry around and hold on to so much stuff! Though we may not think twice about the impact this has on our mental health, we definitely should. If you have anything in your home that you currently don’t use/need or no longer brings you happiness, it’s time to let it go. However you choose to go through this process is up to you. But as soon as you’re done, we guarantee you feel an immediate sense of peace. Making your life feel a lot easier and happier.
